Activism

Activism is the act of taking direct action to promote or impede social, political, economic, or environmental change. It is often embodied in efforts to bring about reform or to raise awareness regarding issues affecting individuals or communities. Activism can take various forms, including protests, advocacy, lobbying, and grassroots organizing, and it is driven by the desire to create a specific change or to influence public policy. Activists may focus on a range of issues, such as civil rights, environmental protection, social justice, and human rights. The underlying principle of activism is the belief in the potential to effect change through collective action and individual engagement.
